Flicking through magazine and online Gift Guides has become my pre-Christmas ritual as I gather present ideas for family and friends. Instead of compiling one of my own, this year I thought it would be fun to do a 24 Days of Christmas series and ask friends and family to tell us what is on their wish list this year.
Today’s 16th day of Christmas wish comes from Cathy, who loves Antoni Gaudí’s amazing architecture works.
What’s your Christmas wish?
With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year I’d like to start the day in Barcelona, Spain in Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família (the beautiful ceiling is seen above), for their Christmas morning church service. Then off to the Blue Mountains, Australia to have Christmas morning coffee with my 88-year-old mum and three sisters- one home from Africa for Christmas. All four of us sisters have not been together with mum forChristmas for 20 years!
Next we would fly over the Tasman to Dairy Flat, Auckland to our home for Christmas lunch with all but one of our family of 13. BBQ turkey followed by our family’s traditional Christmas play and then present opening.
The final destination of the day would be to fly to London for Christmas dinner with our son Reuben. And if it could be a London white Christmas evening that would be great.
Dreams are free but love is a reality so we will send our love to all our Children this Christmas.
